Musée Mécanique Announce New Album - From Shores Of Sleep

We have a soft spot for Musée Mécanique.  Their 2010 debut Hold This Ghost was one of our favourite albums of the year.  They've now announced a Kickstarter program for their follow-up From Shores Of Sleep, due in August 2014.

Musée Mécanique have teamed up with Portland label Tender Loving Empire to release From Shores Of Sleep.  The record sounds intriguing, fitting together as one piece of music as well a series of individual songs.  The band spoke about the record.

"We've spent the past few years writing, recording, mixing and mastering our new record From Shores Of Sleep. We arranged the album as one continuous piece of music, intended to be listened to all the way through. Each individual song is a world in and of itself that stands on its own, but what makes the album unlike others, is that, when listened to in order, the individual songs combine to tell an impressionistic and surreal adventure. It's a story full of sails, shorelines, lighthouses, seas and dreams."

They've posted a three minute video of the album on their Kickstarter page.

Musée Mecanique's official site can be found here.  They are also on Facebook and Twitter.
