Rock From Afar (b/w Followay) is the debut single from Brighton-based Manchester ex-pat Record/Start. It's the perfect feel-good anthem with driving guitars and beautiful layered vocals in the chorus that betrays the fact it was recorded in a home studio.
Record/Start is the solo project of Simon Cowen, formerly the front man of Carlis Star. Now resident in Brighton, the two songs on the tape were recorded in his home studio.
The single is released on cassette from their Bandcamp site in a limited edition of 100. The download option is currently £666 so we assume they want you to buy the tape that comes with a free download.
