Best known as front man of Manchester's quirky songmeisters Louis Barrabas And The Bedlam Six, Louis has been working on a solo album Gentle Songs Of Ceaseless Horror. He's just released the lead track from the album You Did This To Me.
Having witnessed a couple of his live solo shows earlier this year, we were expecting something a little more off-the-wall as he's also writing the soundtrack to an imaginary play, but You Did This To Me is a beautiful, soulful track with hints of jazz that wouldn't feel out of place in a smoky club. We challenge you not to tap your feet to it, such is the immediacy and catchiness of the song.
There's also a fascinating video that captures perfectly the mood of the song and is the first in a series of video that Louis says perfectly captures the mood of the album.
