Track Of The Day : James - Nothing But Love

Nothing But Love is the next track to be revealed from James' forthcoming album Girl At The End Of The World, due for release on March 18th.

The track, a euphoric assessment of the power of love, is the only song on the record that James have previewed live to date, albeit in a very different form at Scarborough Open Air Theatre last May. Tim told us  "We did Nothing But Love once but I didn't have that lyric then. We knew the song would work, but it didn't work then."

The song also features the inimitable input of Brian Eno who worked with James on their Laid, Wah Wah, Whiplash, Millionaires and Pleased To Meet You albums in the 1990s and early 2000s. "We'd gone off on this big procession as we do and then, bang, there's a cul-de-sac. Nothing But Love was one, some people thought it wasn't a single, Jim and I right from the start thought this was the big song on the record."

It's a song that Tim's immensely proud of - "I adore Nothing But Love, I think it could be a Sit Down, not in the same way of course unless there's a huge shift in how we're seen, but it'll do a lot of work for us."
