Matter Of Mind are one of our seven tips for 2017. The Stockport four-piece follow up their brilliant A State Of Mind EP from last year with a new single Far Too Wrong ahead of two shows for This Feeling at Jimmy's in Manchester this weekend. After a storming performance at Sound Control's Bowie tribute event on Saturday where they won over a whole new bunch of fans, this single is sure to continue their rise to the top with its anthemic chorus and a harder edge that marks them out from the gaggle of guitar bands around the North West at present.
We spoke to front man Jordan Lambert about the song's meaning and he told us "The song is about reflecting and overcoming something which used to once hold you back. The lyrics are somewhat personal but we wanted to try and write something which could be relatable, as we feel that connecting with lyrics is important."
