EVEN THE STARS PLAYLIST 7

Welcome to the seventh of our Even The Stars playlists featuring ten songs that we've had on repeat this week.

1. Alexandra Savior - Mirage

Alexandra's debut album Belladonna Of Sadness was released on Friday and Mirage is one of the stand-out tracks from that album. She's already sold out two London dates so we anticipate we'll be hearing a lot more of her this year.

Alexandra's official website can be found here and she can be found on Facebook and Twitter.

2. Jane Weaver - Slow Motion

Slow Motion is the first song to be taken from Jane's forthcoming album Modern Kosmology, the follow-up to 2015's acclaimed The Silver Globe, which is due out in May. It's unmistakably Jane in style, but a further embellishment of her sound.

Jane Weaver's official website can be found here and she is on Facebook and Twitter.

3. The Aces - Physical

The American four-piece's latest single, the follow-up to their debut Stuck, is a perfect piece of joyous pop music.

The Aces' official website can be found here and they are on Facebook and Twitter.

4. St Jude The Obscure - Wonders Of Youth

The voice on Wonders Of Youth may be familiar as St Jude The Obscure feature Adele Emmas and Christian Sandford who were formerly in both Bird and Feral Love. This is the second single the electronic duo have released and like their debut Wreckage it showcases Adele's devastating voice.

St Jude The Obscure are on Facebook and Twitter.

5. Ider - Face On

Face On is one of the tracks from London duo Ider's Gut Me Like An Animal EP released a week ago. IDER are Megan Markwick and Lily Somerville and they share vocals across the songs on the EP, a fabulous collection of intoxicating synth-pop with a darker edge.

Ider are on Facebook and Twitter.

6. Low Island - Holding It Down

Low Island are an Oxford four-piece, building on the positive response to previous singles Anywhere and End Piece, with possibly their best single yet from a forthcoming EP.

Low Island are on Facebook and Twitter.

7. Minnie Birch - Sangatte

Sangatte is Minnie's follow up release to last year's excellent album Floundering which made our Top 20 of the year. It's a song she started writing when she was volunteering with Care4Calais last year and she is donating all proceeds from the song to that charity.

Minnie Birch's official site can be found here. She is also on Facebook and Twitter.

8. Touts - Sold Out

Ahead of support slots with Cabbage and Blossoms later in the summer, Derry's Touts' latest offering Sold Out clocks in at a mere one minute and forty three seconds and is a real punk-influenced throw back to the raw energy in the likes of Teenage Kicks

Touts are on Facebook and Twitter.

9. False Advertising - Not My Fault

Not My Fault is possibly False Advertising's most accessible single to date, Jenn taking on lead vocals in a verse that builds to a chorus where they let loose in trademark fashion.  A real statement of intent.

False Advertising's website can be found here. They are also on Facebook and Twitter.

10. Ist Ist - Strangers

Strangers in the latest in a series of singles from Manchester's most ferocious trio of  musical assassins and it captures the ferocious energy of the live performance with a chorus that hits you square between the eyes and leaves you reeling. It needs to be played as loud as possible.

Ist Ist are on Facebook and Twitter. There are limited edition CD singles of Strangers at their merchandise store.
