Bea Sanjust : The White Rock Sessions - Songs On The Home Vol 1

It's four years since Bea Sanjust charmed us with her debut album Larosa, one of those stunning albums that come from an out-of-the-blue recommendation and become one of your most listened records of the time and one you go back to regularly. Since then Bea has been at work with her band on a new set of songs and Songs On The Home Volume 1 (not about the coronavirus we hasten to add) is the first product of those sessions and has a similar impact to the first record.

The Leisure Society / Bea Sanjust - Salford Lowry Studio Theatre - 27th September 2016

Taking a break from the recording sessions for their new album, Nick, Christian and Mike from The Leisure Society have taken off around the country on a week-long acoustic tour as a trio to recap highlights of their first four albums as well as to reveal intimate versions of songs from their next one. Support on the tour comes from Bea Sanjust, whose Larosa album is one of our favourites of the year, who met the band years ago in Brighton as they were starting off as part of the infamous Wilkommen Collective.

Bea Sanjust - Larosa

Larosa is the debut album from Italian singer Bea Sanjust. It's a record that's been a long time coming since her first releases at the turn of the decade, but it's been more than worth the wait. It radiates a disarming simplicity and reveals a voice that is so rich and redolent at every turn irrespective of the sounds around it. It's a truly beautiful album that deserves your attention.
