Seb Lowe / Cobain Jones / The Lanks - Hyde Pop - 19th August 2022


Seb Lowe continued his short series of dates around the southern and eastern outposts of the Greater Manchester music scene with a sold-out show at Hyde's intimate DIY space POP on Friday night. With the audience singing along to every word of his best-known songs and captivated by the stage presence of the teenager and his band we left with the sense we'd just watched a future star completing the last stages of his apprenticeship before moving to the much bigger rooms of the city centre.

Dirty Laces / Cobain Jones - Manchester 33 Oldham St - 1st March 2020


To celebrate the impending release of new single You and an extensive UK tour, Dirty Laces announced two last minute intimate shows at 33 Oldham Street for this Sunday night that sold out in minutes when put on sale earlier in the week. We caught the second of the night where they demonstrated their continuing evolution as a band and introduced new material into the set. Support came from an acoustic solo set from Cobain Jones.

Cobain Jones - Manchester HMV - 24th September 2019


Tameside's Cobain Jones is one of a new breed of songwriters from the Greater Manchester area who's not tied to the legacy of a certain set of brothers and takes his influences from wider afield. He played Manchester HMV's first ever Live N Local showcase on Tuesday night with a set of four originals and five covers.
