Suede / Desperate Journalist - Manchester Albert Hall - 9th March 2023

Suede brought their sold out tour in support of last year's inspirational Autofiction album to Manchester Albert Hall on Thursday night. Mixing most of the album with both some of their biggest hits and some deep b-side cuts from their illustrious past they delighted an enthusiastic and euphoric crowd who hung on Brett Anderson's every word and move. Support came from Desperate Journalist.

Desperate Journalist / The Empty Page - Manchester Night And Day - 30th July 2022

It's an impressive feat that Desperate Journalist and The Empty Page have sold out Night And Day in an environment where gig attendances are through the floor and a significant element of the Manchester gig going community are on their annual pilgrimage to the Lakes for Kendal Calling where Desperate Journalist are playing the following day. The Night And Day is consequently a sweat box with a fan on stage for the headliner to keep it barely manageable for them, but once the music started people were oblivious to it.

LIINES / Desperate Journalist / Facades - Manchester Bread Shed - 11th September 2021

To celebrate the release of their new single Keep on Going, LIINES played their biggest hometown headline show to date at Manchester's Bread Shed on Saturday night supported by Desperate Journalist and The Facades. A seventeen-song set comprised of tracks from their debut Stop-Start and their unreleased follow-up delighted a passionate and supportive crowd.

The unstoppable momentum of The Slow Readers Club's UK tour rolled into Bristol on Friday night for another sold out show at The Thekla. In a hot and sweaty basement of a boat they thrilled a packed out crowd with tracks from their first two albums and four new songs from their forthcoming third. Support came from the thrilling evocative and dark Desperate Journalist.
