Kid Wave - Manchester Gullivers - 1st October 2015


It's been a big year for Kid Wave with the release of their debut album Wonderlust and they're topping it off with a big UK headline tour after a number of prestigious support slots. We caught up them at Gullivers in Manchester and witnessed a band spreading its wings and taking the songs to a new level.

Kid Wave - Wonderlust


Kid Wave first came to our attention last year with their Gloom EP and we caught them earlier this year supporting Heavenly label mate Jimi Goodwin and again at Live At Leeds. All this whet our appetite for their debut album Wonderlust, but what they've delivered has way surpassed our expectations.

Yesterday we reviewed the first half of our day at Live At Leeds capturing Polo, Clay, Glacier Pacific, The Vryll Society and Gulf. Today's review covers the final five bands we saw at a festival we'll definitely be back at next year.

Jimi Goodwin / Kid Wave - Hebden Bridge Trades Club - 24th January 2015


It's the 25th anniversary of Heavenly Records and they're celebrating with a weekend of gigs at the country's best small venue (whatever the polls say) at Hebden Bridge Trades Club. We jumped on the train from Manchester to catch a matinee performance for new hopes Kid Wave and Doves' stalwart Jimi Goodwin.
