TRACK OF THE DAY : The Fountainhead - In Chrysalis
Back in February Liam Frost announced his retirement as a solo artist with new
projects promised rather than him disappearing from the scene altogether. In
Chrysalis is the first track from the first of those projects - The
Fountainhead - and Liam's voice is of course instantly recognisable, the musical
direction has changed from his three solo albums. The Bandcamp exclusive
version is an early "home version" mix of the forthcoming debut single.

Liam Frost / Reid Anderson- Manchester Halle St Peters - 28th February 2020
It's been a decade and a half since Liam Frost announced himself to the music scene with a host of bright new prospect tags attached to him. Fate and the machinations of the industry have meant that he's never had the accolade he's deserved as one of the finest songwriters of his generation - and with the Pledge Music debacle which crippled the release of his third album The Latchkey Kid still resonating, he's decided to stop performing under his own name. His show at the resplendent surroundings of Halle St Peters church meant that he went out with a bang.

Liam Frost - Liam Frost Is The Latchkey Kid
Liam Frost's third album has been a long time coming. It's been ten years since his second record We Ain't Got No Money Honey, But We Got Rain and thirteen since his debut Show Me How The Spectres Dance. The album, and the associated Pledge Music campaign, has been in the pipeline for a while, but has now finally seen the light of day. And it's a record that lives up to the sky-high standards of those first two albums, allowing long-term devotees to both reminisce at their brilliance and to swoon at where his art has taken him now, and newcomers to his sound to fall in love at first listen and then discover his past.
