Matter Of Mind return with Oblivion, their second single of the year after Poison Ivy featuring their new line-up. Their trademark sound is still very much intact, big powerful guitar riffs and drums and soaring vocals that build to a climax in the chorus. Oblivion is a very personal track that will resonate with many dealing with lead singer Jordan's anxiety.

Friday night saw Dot To Dot Festival hit Manchester.  With venues across the city from the Ritz and Albert Hall to old-school favourites like The Castle and Gullivers in the Northern Quarter, the festival showcases up-and-coming bands both nationally and locally. We stayed around the smaller venues to catch Lynchs, Matter Of Mind, Narrow Margin, Phoebe Green, Rews and Woman You Stole.

A set full of old favourites and new songs showed them to be a band that's very much on the rise. With a new EP in the can, 2018 looks like it could be the year that they break to a wider audience.

This Feeling's Big In 2018 series of shows took over Jimmy's in Manchester this weekend. Staying true to the ethos of promoting both local talent and giving bands from out of town the opportunity to play somewhere away from home, Saturday night's sold-out show matched Mossley headliners Proletariat and Stockport's Matter Of Mind with Glaswegians Voodoos and Grimsby's Mint for a four band bill that was high on loud guitars, big choruses and powerful songs that aim for the jugular.

Battling with technical difficulties and a broken mic stand that gave up the ghost half way through the set, they delivered a set of new songs and some favourites from their releases to date and showed that they're still developing and growing as a band.
