PINS - Hot Slick
Hot Slick is PINS' first album for five years, a period where they've undergone a line-up change, losing original members before regrouping as a three-piece. Crunching guitars are replaced by bright synths and drum machines as the music's distinctive characteristic, mirrored by the bold, colourful artwork that represents both the album itself and its accompanying singles.

TRACK OF THE DAY : PINS - Hot Slick
Hot Slick is PINS' first single of the year, coming from a forthcoming album, their first in five years, that the slimmed-down trio of Faith, Lois and Kyogen are preparing for release. The track which has been in their live set for some time showcases the new dancefloor-inspired direction in contrast to their first two albums.

The Slow Readers Club / PINS / LIINES - Manchester Apollo - 14th December 2018
The sold-out signs for The Slow Readers Club’s biggest headline show to date went up three months ago. Their journey has been one of the most heartwarming and well-deserved rises to the top, one that’s been achieved with a humility and a connection to their fanbase that’s rarely witnessed these days. Tonight was an indisputable triumph, three and a half thousand devotees joined in unison to hail the victory of the underdog and witness a performance that made even this hallowed hall feel like a stopping off point on a ride to somewhere even grander. With PINS and LIINES on the bill it felt like the underground scene in Manchester has risen again.

PINS continue their tradition of Record Store Day releases with a 10" single of an exclusive new track Trouble backed with a Bernard and Edith remix of the title track and a second unreleased track called I'll Get Mine. PINS / Flesh - Manchester Night And Day - 31st December 2015
New Years Eve has become one of those sanitised events of the year that either prices you out of it or becomes so commercialised and an excuse for people to rip you off that it's lost its appeal to so many. Fortunately, the Night And Day has come up with the idea of giving us the opportunity to do what we do all year on this night - watch live music in a great small venue at a reasonable price. Last year we saw Blossoms, this year we saw in 2016 with one of Manchester's best bands PINS ably supported by newcomers Flesh.

It's that time of year again when we reveal our favourite records of the year. There's been so many great albums made this year that not all of them could make the final cut and it's been a hard choice to whittle them down to just twenty. We continue our countdown today from 12 to 9.

PINS - Wild Nights
Even The Stars favourites PINS return with Wild Nights, the follow-up to 2013's Girls Like Us. It's a more reflective affair sonically than their debut, merging its post-punk spikiness with classic girl-group harmonies to create a cohesive record that's more ambitious than its predecessor.

Sleater Kinney / PINS - Manchester Albert Hall - 24th March 2015
There's two types of reunion, the bad sort where a band comes back, clearly disinterested in the music and hoping to make a quick buck and the good sort where the band rediscover their fire, their love for their legacy but also the urge to make exceptional new music. Sleater Kinney have done just that with their comeback album No Cities To Love and, at a sold-out Albert Hall in Manchester, they mixed tracks from that with crowd favourites from their back catalogue. Local heroes PINS were in support with tracks from their forthcoming album Wild Nights.
