Saturday saw the second day of the Right To Roam Festival around four venues in Bolton, a brave festival that is attempting to bring live music back to the streets of a town that's had many of its live venues shut down over the years. We caught four bands - Cowtown, The Empty Page, The Jade Assembly and Ist Ist - across two of the venues.

Ramsbottom Festival Preview - Part Three
With just one day to go before the gates open at Ramsbottom Cricket Club for the fifth instalment of the ever-growing Ramsbottom Festival, we turn our attention to five more acts that we think are worth checking out at the festival (or otherwise). Tickets are still available online and will be more expensive on the door for one of the country's most intimate yet exciting music festivals that mixes both nationally known acts such as headliners Idlewild, The Wonder Stuff and The Proclaimers with the best emerging talent from the North West and beyond.

The Jade Assembly - Interview
Bolton's The Jade Assembly launch their new single One Last Time next Monday and precede it with a launch show at their home town's Blind Tiger on Sunday supported by a host of local bands. The single is another example of their bold, heartfelt take on alternative rock and another step up for a band with songs big enough to fill big rooms. We caught up with front man John "Foz" Foster for a chat ahead of the launch.
