The Vryll Society / Francobollo / Purple Heart Parade - Manchester Deaf Institute - 19th January 2017

The Vryll Society made a triumphant return to Manchester on Thursday night following last year's dual headliner with Hidden Charms at Gorilla. Throwing off front man Mike's throat infection that could have pulled the gig, they deliver a spellbinding set supported ably by Sweden-via-London's Francobollo and Manchester's own Purple Heart Parade.

Two of the country's most exciting new bands have combined to go on a double header tour. Whilst Hidden Charms and The Vryll Society performances might differ in style, they both exude an exuberant energy and love of playing live backed up with sets that demonstrate they're both developing into bands that could break through big time in 2017.

Viola Beach / Craig Tarry Tribute - Warrington Parr Hall - 2nd April 2016 (The Coral, Courteeners, The Kooks, Blossoms, Eliza And The Bear, Hidden Charms, The Vryll Society)

In the early hours of February 13, five young men, doing what they loved most, met with a tragic end in a car accident in Sweden after playing their first gig outside the UK. Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Tomas Lowe and Jack Dakin were Viola Beach, Craig Tarry was their manager. There was an outpouring of grief at the loss of the one of the country's finest most promising young bands and one of the most dedicated managers you'll ever meet that cumulated in their debut single Swings & Waterslides hitting the top twenty and this concert in the 1,000 capacity Parr Hall in their hometown of Warrington bringing together some of the biggest and breaking bands to celebrate their lives.

The Vryll Society - Pangea EP

It's with some excitement that we approach The Vryll Society's debut EP Pangea. Coming on the back of their two taster tracks Deep Blue Skies and Beautiful Faces and some psychedelic out there shows that left band and audience in a trance, the EP is the sound of The Vryll Society laying down their marker for 2016.

Track Of The Day : The Vryll Society - Beautiful Faces

Beautiful Faces is the first track to be revealed by The Vryll Society who've recently played with Even The Stars' favourites Blossoms. As a song in its own right, it's a belter, full of summery vibes, not afraid of baring its influences but retaining a personality and individuality of its own.
