Sienna is the new track by Mayflower, a dreamy emotive contemplative song that should win them a whole new host of admirers. Although only a demo, it's rich in detail and emotion yet also still quietly understated.
Mayflower are a four-piece that have been building a following around Manchester for the last twelve months with a series of low-key demo releases of which Sienna is the latest. Less driven than their previous track Many Clouds which demonstrated they can deliver upbeat classic pop in the vein of The La's, its beauty is in its poise and precision and the emotion in front man Oliver Gaydon's voice.
Mayflower headline the Night And Day this Saturday (3rd).
