Her is the second single to be taken from LA-based vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Brenda Carsey's forthcoming album Sirens. With an entrancing video using vintage footage from Prelinger Archives San Francisco, the song is a beautifully reflective track that looks into the confusing world of human relationships and interactions and waiting for someone to love you.
Brenda describes the song - "Her is a story of longing, hope, and love. Longing for closeness, for connection, for flesh. How peculiar to experience someone longing for you and enjoying your presence though they remain lonely even in your arms, forever wandering and waiting for their perfect mate, all the while missing the perfection and light that is you."
It follows on from the album's first single Stuck On You which also deals in love that isn't reciprocated, in that case being trapped in a relationship that is either broken or abusive.
All instruments on the song are played by Brenda except for Phoebe Silva on violin.
