LIINES return with their first new material in two years with the previously unheard Holding On.

Clocking in at 3.49, Holding On is the longest song LIINES have ever released and a development in their sound. Taking the foot off the accelerator pedal without losing the intensity and energy of their previous work, Holding On showcases a more vulnerable side to Zoe's vocals, particularly towards the end of the song - and has a chorus that's simple in its delivery and content - "and I wait and I wait and I wait for you" but a real ear worm.

The track is taken from an EP that's due for release in the autumn. Like their debut album Stop / Start, the song was produced by Paul Tipler in London, with Katie Tavini on mastering duties. The song was recorded by the core duo of LIINES - Zoe McVeigh on vocals, guitars and bass and Leila O'Sullivan on drums.
