Winter Gardens return with Tapestry, the lead and title track from their forthcoming debut EP on Austerity Records in September and the follow-up to last year's debut Coral Bells.
The single carries on from Coral Bells, providing a modern take on what the band describe as "dream-punk", one minute ethereal sounds heightened by Amanda's rich vocals and the next letting loose and building before dropping to a whisper at the end of the track. It's an impressive control of the pace of the song that holds the listener's attention, particularly when paired with the simple yet affecting video.
Talking about the track, the band explained its meaning and their process of songwriting - “Tapestry is a crescendo of artistic emotion. It was written with a truly brooding passion for art and all things creative, to show how reality can be portrayed on a canvas.”
