I Am Not Your Prey is the latest track from the prolific RosesAreBlue, a dramatic and unequivocal response to the type of predator who takes her submission to his will and removal of her independent spirit for granted.
I Am Not Your Prey and her Halloween-themed song are her first new material for a while, but retain the immediacy of her previous work. Her lyrics are direct at the aggressor, calling out both their own flaws and the way they intend to reflect that on her - "Any reaction makes you feel love, think you're winning but you're just a loser, attention-seeking for your validation, you see some good, you've just got to destroy it" - but the chorus, repeating the title over and over, is a firm, forthright rebuttal.
