Matter Of Mind have revealed the video for their new single Stay which comes from their forthcoming EP Dead Apologies.
Stay is the follow-up to Far Too Wrong and their debut State Of Mind EP which has won them admirers in Manchester and beyond, backed up with well-received live shows including festival appearances at Y Not and Tramlines for This Feeling and at Blackthorn Festival over the summer as well as supporting Larkins at a sold-out Band On The Wall show last week.
Jordan told us in our piece for Louder Than War when the single was premiered last month about the song - "The track highlights a feeling that most people will go through, and it’s channeling that feeling into a positive way which is the hardest thing to do at a time like that. It may not be that that person or thing will be absent forever, but it’s the way different people cope with the absence that I wanted to draw attention to. What the song means to me personally is that someone very close to me has recently moved away, and I wrote the lyrics as an almost coping mechanism to help with the situation.”
As with Far Too Wrong, the video was filmed by Callum Scott-Dyson of CSD Videography and mixes outdoor shots from the Peak District with some filmed inside a derelict building in Salford.
