TRACK OF THE DAY : Hannah Scott - Walk A Wire

Hannah Scott returns with Walk A Wire, her first new material since last year's Pieces Of The Night album. The song is inspired by a friend suffering from a disability that led her to close herself away from people, but asks her (and others) to open up and take a chance rather than hide away and miss out on life experiences.

The song's lyrics "walk a wire when you're afraid to feel something, find the light" reflect that message, an uplifting optimism in the chorus that continues on from songs from Pieces Of The Night in using music as a means of escaping and looking for good. It's refreshing to hear music being used as a means of communicating with others that things will be alright in the end. Musically the song moves between acoustic and electronic segments smoothly, showcasing the songwriting chemistry between Hannah and her writing partner Stefano Della Casa.

Hannah Scott's official website can be found here and she is on Facebook and Twitter.

The album Pieces Of The Night can be purchased from her Big Cartel shop.
