The Slow Readers Club Announce New Single and Tour

Even The Stars favourites The Slow Readers Club have just announced news of a new single Plant The Seed and details of a UK tour to support the release.

Taken from their electrifying second album Cavalcade and following rave reviews for both the album and a sell out show at Manchester Academy 3 as well as some memorable festival appearances over the summer, most notably at the Isle of Wight festival and Tramlines in Sheffield, new single Plant The Seed is released on Scruff of the Neck Records on November 20th.

The Slow Readers Club epitomise everything we love about music - storming live shows, classic singles, thought provoking lyrics, guitar hooks,  a commitment to their art, and so much more too. On top of that, they do it on their own terms.  Cavalcade, their second long player, lives up to all expectations.

New single, Plant The Seed is one of the highlights of their mesmerising live shows. It is influenced by Vince Clark era Depeche Mode, showcasing a lighter, poppier side to The Slow Readers Club. Aaron demonstrates his vocal range by singing falsetto on the verses before dueting with his brother on the earworm of a chorus.

Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday 4th September 2015 at 9am and include their biggest hometown headline date so far at Gorilla in Manchester.

They play the following shows :

Sept 12 - Far Out Festival, Burnley

Sept 17 - Manchester Food And Drink Festival (Albert Square - free show)

Sept 19 - Ramsbottom Festival

Nov 5 - London The Black Heart

Nov 6 - Birmingham The Sunflower Lounge

Nov 14 - Sheffield Corporation

Nov 20 - Leeds The Packhorse

Nov 27 - Liverpool The Magnet

Nov 28 - Manchester Gorilla

Dec 5 - Preston The Mad Ferret
