TRACK OF THE DAY : Weavers Wave - Sweet

Sweet is the debut single by Rossendale psych-folk-dreampop trio that combine the vocal talents of Mary-Joanna Coogan and Megan Thomas with the guitar of Tim Page to create a wonderfully evocative first release.



The song is somewhat of a diversion for Mary Joanna who made her mark on the Manchester scene several years back with her band The Southern Electrikk as well as under her own name. Delicate and intricate in its structure with Mary-Joanna and Megan's voices combining to give an angelic innocent feel to the song, Sweet is an engaging and intoxicating debut.
