TRACK OF THE DAY : Porridge Radio - Sweet

Sweet is the second track to be taken from London four-piece Porridge Radio's forthcoming second album Every Bad released on March 13 shortly followed by a UK tour.

Accompanied by a video that Dana said "gave me so many bruises I couldn’t walk down the stairs the next day", the song is a stop-start riotous affair with a split personality. The verse declares around the chaos "I'm just a child writing letters to myself wishing out loud you were dead and then taking it back" before the chorus slows things down and Dana snarls with a hint of menace "you will like me when you meet me, you might even fall in love, I am charming, I am sweet, she will love me when she meets me." If it's a representative taster of Every Bad, the follow up to Rice, Pasta and Other Fillers is likely to be one of the albums of the year.

Every Bad is released on March 13. It can be ordered via their official store.

Porridge Radio's official site can be found here and they are on Facebook and Twitter.

They play Oslo By Larm Festival (February 27-29), Bristol Rough Trade (March 8), Nottingham Rough Trade (9), London Rough Trade East (12), Los Angeles Moroccan Lounge (13), Austin SXSW (17-21), Brooklyn Elsewhere Zone 1 (23), Manchester Soup Kitchen (26), Liverpool Studio 2 (27), Bristol Ritual Union (28), Glasgow Glad Cafe (29), Sheffield Record Junkee (31), London Colours (April 1), Oxford Bullingdon (3) and Brighton The Westhill Hall (4).
