The Lounge Society have just signed to indie label Speedy Wunderground and their debut single, all five and a half glorious minutes of it, taking aim at the class and age divide in the way that young people are looked down upon by the media, particularly if they happen also to be working class.
They are the latest band to come out of the fertile Calder Valley scene around their home base of Hebden Bridge and Todmorden, but the like the others very much have a mind and a sound of their own.
Generation Game is set for release next Friday (March 27th) with an already sold-out 350 run of 7" singles available to preorder ahead of its April 24th release.
