The Slow Readers Club / Bang Bang Romeo - Manchester Cathedral - 4th May 2018


On the day of release of their third album Build A Tower The Slow Readers Club played the iconic Manchester Cathedral, a show that sold out under an hour on presale alone. With a nineteen song set featuring all but one of the ten tracks off the album and a selection of old favourites, Manchester celebrated their newest favourite sons in style. Support came from Doncaster’s favourites Bang Bang Romeo.

The Shimmer Band / Bang Bang Romeo / Black Waters / Proletariat - Manchester Academy 2 - 8th October 2017



This Feeling's Alive tour hit Manchester Club Academy on Sunday night with three bands - The Shimmer Band, Bang Bang Romeo and Black Waters - touring the country with a local band opening up proceedings each night. Manchester saw the turn of Proletariat to kick things off on a night of four very contrasting but impressive bands.

When In Manchester Festival - Cupids, Trampolene, Girl Friend, Louie Louie, Bang Bang Romeo, Lunar, Foxe - 16th April 2016


 



Urban festivals are becoming all the rage these days, but When In Manchester is one with a difference. It has a true DIY ethos to it that's different to the increasingly corporate ones where major labels see them as a showcase and a testing ground for their potential next big things. When In Manchester was conceived by four young women on a night out and then became reality through lots of ground level hard work and planning to create something that's both intimate, diverse in its line-up and a true testament to being able to do what you want in music if you put your hearts and minds into it.

The Slow Readers Club / Bang Bang Romeo / Katie O'Malley / Ryan Jarvis - Manchester Crafted Festival - 13th February 2016



The Hope Mill Theatre, hidden away at the back of Ancoats, is the setting for the second Crafted Festival, a celebration of beer, food and music - possibly the best three things known to man. In wonderfully intimate surroundings we watched The Slow Readers Club, Bang Bang Romeo, Katie O'Malley and Ryan Jarvis play sets as the beer flowed and all sorts of street food was consumed.

Bang Bang Romeo / Fronteers - Manchester Night And Day - 30th January 2016


This Feeling opened its series of Manchester club nights at the Night And Day with a huge six-band bill featuring some of the artists they're tipping to be "Big In 2016." We caught opening act Bang Bang Romeo and closing act Fronteers before and after other gigs spread across town and both acts lived up to expectations.

We're proud to have been asked to reveal the new video by Bang Bang Romeo for their track Chemical. The band have made many of the tips for 2016 blogger lists and have also recently been featured by Fred Perry Subculture, Radio X and they are headlining the Manchester leg of This Feeling's Big In 2016 party later this month as well as playing at the exciting new When In Manchester festival in April.

Dexters / Hidden Charms / Bang Bang Romeo - Sheffield The Rocking Chair - 7th November 2015



With possibly the best three band line-up we've witnessed this year, Dexters' tour in support of their brilliant second album We Paid For Blood hit Sheffield's Rocking Chair on Saturday night with Hidden Charms and Bang Bang Romeo in tow.  Three very different bands in style and approach, they worked together to produce a night that will live long in the memory.

Sound Control was the latest venue in White Boy's tour of Manchester venues over the past few months supporting the release of their excellent debut album Glitoris. Support came from Sheffield-based four-piece Bang Bang Romeo.
