TRACK OF THE DAY : Finola - Losing Value


Finola has released her new single Losing Value, her first new material since last year's Waterworks EP. One of the stand out tracks from her live shows, it's a deeply personal tale of heartbreak and the aftermath and is played by Finola in the video as she lives out the song.

Jimmy's hosted the launch of Finola's Waterworks EP on Wednesday night, the debut release of a songwriter who's kept a low profile for the past couple of years, but who is hopefully now about to blossom and make her mark on the Manchester scene and beyond.

Finola - Waterworks EP


Waterworks is the debut EP from singer-songwriter Finola launched this week with a show at Jimmy's in Manchester. Over the four tracks she demonstrates an ability to express feelings and intentions with a clarity of purpose and with a voice that emphasises both the emotions and the intent of the words she's singing.

Headlander Festival is set in the grounds of Stockport Rugby Club. Billed as a family festival, the headline act on the Saturday night was 80s/90s favourite Roachford. But tucked away near the entrance was the Scruff Of The Neck stage, curated by the record label, where we found a mix of Even The Stars favourites as well as some acts we were catching for the first time.
