so we've selected 22 of the artists and bands that we think will make their
mark over the next twelve months and who we're looking forward to hearing what
they do next. We've selected artists and bands that haven't yet released their
debut album. We'd love to hear in the comments who you recommend and who you
think we've missed.

Blanketman / The Lounge Society - Manchester International Festival - 12th July 2021
One of the highlights of the Manchester International Festival for us is the free series of live performances that take place across the city. Moved across from the Town Hall due to the ongoing works there, Cathedral Square is home to this year's hub and on a wet Monday night, Dave Haslam has curated two of the North West's most talked-about young bands in The Lounge Society and Blanketman.

LIINES / Blanketman / Pet Crow - Manchester Yes - 1st June 2019
LIINES finished off their triumphant first half of the year in style following their tour with Sleaford Mods, the release of new single On And On and their biggest shows to date with a hometown show at Manchester's Yes that both celebrated the end of the Stop - Start album promotion cycle and heralded a set of new songs that will form the basis of their follow-up. Support came from Reckless Yes label mates Pet Crow and Blanketman.

Sick & Tired and Flip It Over is the new double A-side release from Blanketman following on from their debut release The Long Arm Of Entrapment earlier in the year. Two very contrasting songs show very different sides to their sound.

TRACK OF THE DAY 1 : Blanketman - The Long Arm Of Entrapment
The Long Arm Of Entrapment is the debut single from new four-piece post-punk band Blanketman. Despite not having released anything yet, they've already grabbed the attention of the likes of Brix Smith and they support her and The Extricated at the Ruby Lounge next Friday.
