Even The Stars Albums Of The Year 2015 - 20 to 17


It's that time of year again when we reveal our favourite records of the year. There's been so many great albums made this year that not all of them could make the final cut and it's been a hard choice to whittle them down to just twenty. We start our countdown from 20 to 17 with Air Cav, Minnie Birch, White Boy and Jemima Surrender.

White Boy / Bang Bang Romeo - Manchester Sound Control - 17th September 2015


Sound Control was the latest venue in White Boy's tour of Manchester venues over the past few months supporting the release of their excellent debut album Glitoris. Support came from Sheffield-based four-piece Bang Bang Romeo.

Whiteboy / Trampolene / Bad Molly - Manchester Night And Day - 25th July 2015



This Feeling's club nights at the Night And Day always deliver a quality contrasting mix of local and national talents and July's was no exception. Headlined by local heroes White Boy, still counting the number of gigs on their fingers and alongside them Welsh heroes Trampolene making a long overdue and welcome return to Manchester as well as Bad Molly who are earning themselves a growing reputation here too, the crowd was treated to three very different yet in their own way exceptional bands.

White Boy - Glitoris


Glitoris is the eagerly awaited debut album from White Boy. It's a record that's spectacular in both its range and its ambition, delivering on the building buzz, excitement and mystery about the band and then some. From exuberant glam-rock stomps through brass-drenched nods to ska to beautiful shimmering electronic and piano ballads, it flits from style to style, changing direction constantly without ever losing impact.

Track Of The Day : White Boy - Rock On


Manchester's White Boy release their second single today, it's a cover of David Essex's 1973 hit Rock On. Whilst we're not fans of covers, this is an exception as they've taken the original and put their own glam-rock mark all over it.

White Boy - Manchester Soup Kitchen - 21st February 2015


Tonight's sold-out gig at Soup Kitchen is White Boy's live debut. With only one song revealed on the internet, the single Kiss And Run, the crowd are unsure what to expect from this new project headed by Joe, former lead man in The Janice Graham Band. With an album Glitoris due out next month, the sense of anticipation in the room was high, but White Boy more than delivered on people's wildest expectations.
