Ist Ist / Our Fold - Bury Met - 28th September 2019

Ist Ist played a triumphant sort-of-homecoming show at Bury Met on Saturday night as part of their nationwide tour ahead of going into the studio to record their debut album. Mixing their early singles including the resurrection of an old favourite with tracks from their two EPs and giving us a tantalising taster of the songs that will form the album. Support came from Bolton's Our Fold with tracks taken from their recent debut album Sick Of Normal Life.

Frank Turner / Felix Hagan And The Family / Our Fold - Manchester Ritz - 24th August 2017

Gig 2088 for Frank Turner was a sold-out fundraiser at Manchester's Ritz for Big Issue North's Street Noise project. A more intimate show than Frank's used to playing in the UK was played mostly acoustically other than a guest-filled encore and covered most periods of Frank's career under his own name. Support came from Felix Hogan And The Family and Our Fold.

Thousand Yard Stare / Our Fold - Manchester Deaf Institute - 29th September 2016

The reformation of Thousand Yard Stare was possibly not high on the list of "reunions you'd like to see" polls, but for those that fell for the charms of Slough's finest in the early 1990s it was one of the most exciting announcements of last year. Freshly armed with Live At Electric Studios, an album of revisited versions of their finest songs and a selection of new ones, they're on their first UK tour for twenty-three years and we caught up with them at the opening night at Manchester's Deaf Institute. Support came from Bolton's Our Fold.

Our Fold / The Eyres / Du Dauphine / MRE - Manchester Night And Day - 1st May 2015

The latest Scruff Of The Neck Records gig at the Night And Day in Manchester followed the fine traditions it has established of pairing together great bands from in and outside Manchester and presenting them on the same bill. Whilst there's bands you know (and love), there's always new ones to discover. We caught ETS favourites Our Fold and Du Dauphine and discovered MRE and The Eyres.

Welcome to the day two of Even The Stars' tips for 2015. They're not necessarily artists that we think will make a big breakthrough (except our Top Three which we'll reveal on New Year's Eve), but bands and solo artists that haven't released their debut album we're looking forward to hearing and see more of next year.
