Futureheads topped a four-band bill to celebrate the final night of the Unconvention Festival at Niamos in Hulme on Friday night supported by local acts Saytr Play, Jack Found and Mealtime.

The Blinders headlined the opening Saturday in Jimmy's new Liverpool site in the sauna like conditions of the basement venue supported by an impressive list of bands who'd made the journey up the East Lancs in Saytr Play, Déjà Vega, Ryan Jarvis, Dantevilles and Scuttlers.

The Blinders are one of the most talked about bands on the unsigned scene at the moment, an excited word of mouth wave rising around them fuelled by the patronage of the likes of Cabbage and This Feeling. They're on a nationwide tour at the moment and we caught the first of two sold out shows at Manchester's newest venue Jimmy's with Saytr Play and Carnival Club supporting.

Saytr Play / The Blinders - Manchester Sound Control - 6th September 2016
Clint Boon's inaugural Set2Go podcast saw eleven great acts grace the stage over two floors at Sound Control on Sunday night. The two final acts Saytr Play and The Blinders rounded off the evening upstairs in the loft, two very different bands that thrilled a crowd at the end of a long day of great music.

Relying on the Manchester weather is always a risky business, so the day's downpours meant that B33's Rooftop party was moved down two floors into an open space in the same building. We caught Feed The Kid and new signings Saytr Play and The Hotspur Press play short sets to a growing crowd.
