Day 2 of Head For The Hills festival in Ramsbottom saw another set of the type of diverse and eclectic acts that it has got its name and so many admirers for. From nationally recognised acts to some of the best local talent, Saturday's bill had something for everyone. We caught a real mix of performers including Toria Wooff, Sonya And The Greyhounds, Dantevilles, Secret Lemonade Factory, SKIES, Mano McLaughlin, Neville Staple Band, Dutch Uncles and a triumphant second stage headline set from Ist Ist.

Dutch Uncles - Manchester Dancehouse Theatre 15th March 2017
The Sold Out signs are up on the door of The Dancehouse for Dutch Uncles' triumphant end-of-tour homecoming celebration of the release of their fifth album Big Balloon as the initially seated and eventually stage-invading crowd flocked to pay homage to a band with an impressive following and a joyous live set despite their outsider status compared to Manchester's big boy bands.

Track Of The Day : Dutch Uncles - Oh Yeah
Oh Yeah is the second single from Dutch Uncles' recent excellent fifth album Big Red Balloon, released as they embark on a two-week UK tour in support of the album. The video for the single, as well as the recorded version, features Stealing Sheep and sees them embark on a trip to a roller-skating rink in the glamorous surroundings of Bury.

Track Of The Day : Dutch Uncles - Big Balloon
One of the country's most under-rated bands Dutch Uncles have announced details of their fifth album Big Balloon to be released via Memphis Industries on February 17th. They've also revealed the rather striking title track which heralds a return to the more guitar based sounds of their earlier records.

The Flaming Lips / Dutch Uncles - Edinburgh Ross Bandstand - 27th August 2015
The second night of Magners Live at the Ross Bandstand in Edinburgh witnessed a psychedelic mind-bending set by The Flaming Lips against the stunning backdrop of the castle and fireworks displays. Manchester's Dutch Uncles provided the support with tracks from this year's album Oh Shudder and selected tracks from their growing back catalogue.

Dutch Uncles - Manchester Soup Kitchen - 21st February 2015
Ahead of the release of their fourth album Oh Shudder on Monday, Dutch Uncles played an intimate show at Manchester's Soup Kitchen for those who'd ordered the album with Piccadilly Records. With the surprise departure this week of Sped, they had to rearrange their live set up to accommodate as well as playing most of the new tracks to the public for the first time.
