The Bluetones / Giant Rooks / Mano McLaughlin / Razz / Liam Frost And The Latchkey Kids / FTK / Jess Kemp / Deco - Head For The Hills Festival - 15th September 2018



 

 

Day two of Head For The Hills festival in Ramsbottom saw a full program of music across the day from established national headliners like The Bluetones to local heroes like Liam Frost, Mano McLaughlin, Jess Kemp and FTK as well as up and coming bands from further afield in Deco and two German bands Razz and second stage headliners Giant Rooks. The weather held off and allowed the crowd to take in not just the music but the multiple other attractions dotted around the cricket pitch.

To coincide with their reformation, The Bluetones have reissued their top 10 1998 album Return To The Last Chance Saloon with a host of bonus material. We revisit the album that often lives in the shadows of its predecessor Expecting To Fly and discover a band trying to match the commercial expectations of their label against their own musical instincts.

The Bluetones - Leeds Academy - 16th September 2015


The Bluetones are back and we crossed the Pennines for their first show in four years on the opening night of their comeback tour at Leeds Academy where they reminded us all that they’re a band with a legacy of great singles stretching back through the heady days of mid 1990s Britpop and beyond through the subsequent comedown and backlash.

The Bluetones - Interview


It's been four long years since The Bluetones called it a day with a series of celebratory gigs. They're back again with a series of tour dates in September to celebrate their twentieth anniversary of being a band. We spoke to guitarist Adam Devlin about what they've been up whilst they were away, his highlights and lowlights of the band's career and his burgeoning Twitter following.
