The Tapestry - Ashton-Under-Lyne Witchwood - 26th December 2016

The final moments of The Tapestry's existence as a band are chaotic, shambolic, drunken and magnificent, with a full on stage invasion, equipment being knocked over and out and everyone singing along to Rode Your Luck, one of their finest tracks and a fitting epitaph to a foursome that were at their best in their riotous live shows that should have catapulted them to bigger and better things.

Farewell To The Tapestry

One of Manchester's finest bands have announced today that they're calling it a day after a show at The Witchwood in Ashton-Under-Lyne on Boxing Day, drawing to a close six mad years of The Tapestry. The four-piece always felt like they were on the brink, just about ready to make a breakthrough that never came, perhaps because they were always reluctant to compromise on their beliefs and principles to make it big, perhaps because they were already too old in a business that wants a bright young shiny band that can be manipulated and told what to do.  Those that witnessed their mad live shows, listened to their infectious catchy singles or spent time chatting to any of the four of them will mourn their passing after one final huge send off.

The Tapestry / Novustory - Manchester Soup Kitchen - 28th April 2016

The Tapestry headlined The People's Assembly Beat Back anti-Tory gig at Soup Kitchen in Manchester last night. We were also impressed by Novustory who played before them, a band we hadn't heard of before.

Track Of The Day : The Tapestry - Catacombs

Catacombs is the second track on The Tapestry's recent Connectives single and they've just released a video for it that mostly recorded at their triumphant recent live sold-out show at The Deaf Institute in Manchester.

Blossoms / Hidden Charms / Fronteers / Avalanche Party / Natalie McCool / The Last Spectacular / The Tapestry / Black Sheep Frederick Dickens - Stockton Calling - 26th March 2016

Stockton Calling is an annual festival held in venues around the town centre from the 1,000 capacity Arc to pub back rooms that hold less than 100. It gives the opportunity for local bands from the thriving Teesside scene to rub shoulders with nationally established bands such as Reverend And The Makers, Dutch Uncles and Blossoms – and all for a price you’d pay to watch one of those three headliners play on their own

The Tapestry / Cabbage - Manchester Deaf Institute - 24th March 2016

The Tapestry are old kids on the block now. One of those bands that seem to be permanently on the edge of making a breakthrough yet never quite making it, remaining one of Manchester's best kept secrets, selling out venues like the Deaf Insitute that nationally established bands leave half full. But we've never seen the place rock so hard for a band in the years we've been there and they have some new material to share with us. Support came from the insane Cabbage.

Track Of The Day 2 : The Tapestry - We Talk

It's one of Manchester's biggest mysteries why The Tapestry haven't been signed and headlining some of the venues they've been playing support to touring bands in like their recent show with The Enemy at The Ritz. Undeterred, they're back with a fantastic new single, the live favourite We Talk, a great video which captures the essence of the band and a new website where the single is available as a free download.

The Tapestry / I Set The Sea On Fire - Sheffield Rocking Chair - 24th October 2015

It feels like The Tapestry have been around forever. One of our favourite Manchester bands, they've remained in the shadows as other bands have passed them by on the route to the nation's bigger stages, but they're still one of the most exciting live bands in the city armed with a series of great songs that deserve a much wider audience. We made the short trip over to Sheffield to catch their Gig Buzz / Oxjam headline set and were also impressed by I Set The Sea On Fire.

The Tapestry - Manchester Night And Day - 28th February 2015

Fresh from the launch of their single Infatuation / Look Out, The Tapestry headlined the Manchester leg of This Feeling's moving monthly club night. Their forty minute set, crammed full of sing-along choruses and hook-laden anthems, cemented the growing belief that their time is coming very soon.

The Tapestry - Interview

The Tapestry were one of our top tips for 2015. This Saturday they play their biggest headline date so far at Band On The Wall in Manchester for the launch of their killer new double A-side single Infatuation / Look Out. We had a chat with front man Liam Faherty about the single, the fabulous video to Infatuation and their plans for the show and the rest of 2015.

Even The Stars Tips For 2015 - The Top Three

Welcome to the final day of Even The Stars' tips for 2015.  The three bands/artists we reveal today are three that we believe should be huge in 2015. They each have the tunes, personality and stage presence that have had us going back to watch them many times over the past couple of years and, with due respect to all the other bands on the lists, are the ones that we see breaking out to the much wider audience that they deserve.

We present Blossoms, Findlay and The Tapestry.

Whisky Sessions Unsigned - Manchester Whiskey Jar - 29th October 2014 (Beck Lanehart, Larkins, Troubadour, The Tapestry, The Jordan Allen Band, Death To The Strange, The Gramotones)

The Whisky Sessions are a new festival being held at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on November 21-22.  Tonight’s Unsigned competition is effectively a battle of the bands competition to win a place opening the second day of the festival ahead of Gomez, Turin Brakes and Badly Drawn Boy.

Ahead of going into the studio to record some new tracks, The Tapestry helped relaunch The Moon And Sixpence in Glossop as a music venue with a short set of their soon-to-be huge anthems.

Blackthorn Festival - 26th July 2014 - Reverend And The Makers, The Tapestry, Puppet Rebellion, The Slow Readers Club

Even The Stars made the short trip from Manchester to the suburbs of Stockport for Blackthorn Festival.  Headlined by Reverend And The Makers, the Saturday night also featured a selection of our favourite local bands in a great setting and a contrast to the big rip-off corporate festivals.

The Tapestry / The Delaplains / The Watchmakers

Manchester Band On The Wall

10th May 2013

Three of the most exciting up-and-coming bands in town on one bill?  It’s difficult to turn this sort of evening down.   We went down to The Band On The Wall in Manchester to check out The Watchmakers, The Delaplains and headliners The Tapestry.

The Tapestry - Interview

"If there was ever a band to fall instantly in love with, it is Manchester quartet The Tapestry" was how John Robb described the four-piece band with two sold-out singles to their name. We met up with Liam, Katy, Dyna and Zara before their support slot with The Courteeners at Cambridge Junction to find out a little bit more about them.

The Courteeners / The Tapestry - Cambridge Junction - March 5th 2013

The Courteeners / The Tapestry

Cambridge Junction 5th March 2013

The Courteeners are a funny bunch. Very obviously Mancunian, they have a massive following in their hometown, to the extent that they can sell out the 15,000 Manchester Arena, but yet not the more modest Junction in Cambridge, even though it’s three years since they’ve been here.
