Larkins - Manchester Gorilla - 25th February 2017

"Thank you Manchester for the greatest night of our lives" is how Larkins sign off their triumphant sold-out biggest gig headline to date at Gorilla. The deafening roar they get back tells its own story - of a local band that's making things happen for themselves and hitting the mark every time they step up a level.

October Drift / Larkins / Plastic House / Sly Antics - Manchester Dive NQ - 24th November 2016

Four bands playing for free on a Thursday night? When it's the calibre of established acts such as October Drift and Larkins playing a venue much smaller than their previous Manchester headline shows, then it's too good to turn down especially when highly tipped local acts Plastic House and Sly Antics are also on the bill.

The Slow Readers Club / Puppet Rebellion / Larkins - Manchester Ritz - 18th November 2016

Selling out the Ritz two months in advance is no mean feat for an established touring band with major label support. The list of well-known artists that have experienced chart success without a Sold Out next to their name on the Ritz's posters is testament to what The Slow Readers Club achieved in doing just that. Fifteen hundred people crammed into the hallowed space to witness an unsigned band powered by their own pockets and their own hard work and masses of love alone deliver a night that people will talk about for years to come. Support came from Puppet Rebellion and Larkins.

Ramsbottom Festival Day 1 - The Slow Readers Club / Larkins / Lake Komo / LIINES - 16th September 2016

It's that time of year again when we head for the hills and the picturesque surroundings of Ramsbottom for one of the few remaining unspoiled festivals on the circuit.  Day One of the festival for us capture further evidence of The Slow Readers Club remarkable rise from the Northern Quarter venue circuit to turning away people at the door wherever they go as well as Glass Caves, Larkins, Lake Komo and LIINES.

Larkins / Victors / Young Monarch - Manchester Club Academy - 1st September 2016

To coincide with the release of their new single Velvet, Glossop's Larkins played their biggest headline show yet at Manchester's Club Academy supported by Leeds' Victors and Manchester's own Young Monarch. A packed crowd watched Larkins impressively deliver a set rich in variety, power and crowd involvement and lay down a marker for the future.

Interview / Track Of The Day : Larkins - Velvet

Larkins first came to our attention at the back end of 2014 and since then they've released a string of great singles through 2015 and into 2016. They're back with probably their best track yet, Velvet, and play a headline show to support its release at Manchester Academy 3 tomorrow night. We caught up with front man Josh Noble to find out more about them and their plans for the single.

Track Of The Day : Larkins - Sapphire

Sapphire is the new single from Larkins and is a real statement of intent. Epic, without sounding overblown, it's a band that's making good of the stated desire to break out of the indie guitar mould that so many bands are set in.

Larkins - Manchester Night And Day Cafe - 27th December 2014

We first caught Larkins play a short three-song set at the Whiskey Sessions Unsigned final back in October. Impressed by what we heard from a band that could count the number of gigs they'd played on one hand, we vowed to catch them next time they played in town. Their seven-song set at the Night And Day confirmed our first impression.

Even The Stars Tips For 2015 - Day One

Welcome to the first day of Even The Stars' tips for 2015. They're not necessarily artists that we think will make a big breakthrough (except our Top Three which we'll reveal on New Year's Eve), but bands and solo artists that haven't released their debut album we're looking forward to hearing and see more of next year.

Day One's bands are Cavalry, Embers, Larkins, My Igloo, The Sundowners, We Are Willow, The Telepathic Evils and Laura Doggett.

Whisky Sessions Unsigned - Manchester Whiskey Jar - 29th October 2014 (Beck Lanehart, Larkins, Troubadour, The Tapestry, The Jordan Allen Band, Death To The Strange, The Gramotones)

The Whisky Sessions are a new festival being held at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on November 21-22.  Tonight’s Unsigned competition is effectively a battle of the bands competition to win a place opening the second day of the festival ahead of Gomez, Turin Brakes and Badly Drawn Boy.
