Mark Hoyle - front man of the legendary Dub Sex - has just released his biography Swerve and to promote it, he’s in the beautiful Rossendale arts centre Horse And Bamboo with a strong supporting cast; Martin Coogan from The Mock Turtles is spinning some classics in the bar before we take our seats in the splendidly decorated auditorium to hear Mark superbly interviewed by another Manc legend; singer, songwriter, actress and writer Stella Grundy.

Dub Sex - Interview
Thirty-three years since their formation, Dub Sex are about to release a compilation of EP tracks, rarities and radio sessions entitled Search For The Right Words. We caught up with front man Mark Hoyle for a chat about the band's history, why they're still here more than three decades later and their plans for the future of Dub Sex.

Dub Sex - Search For The Right Words
Formed in Hulme in the mid 80's and splitting in 1990, Dub Sex have long been in contention for the title of Manchester's greatest cult band. Following shows in 2014, including gigs with friends Inspiral Carpets, it was clear there was still much love for a band who played shows with their contemporaries Happy Mondays and The Stone Roses back in the late eighties. 2019 sees the issue of the definitive Dub Sex compilation and some live shows to accompany the release. Stuart Ralston takes a nostalgic look back.

Dub Sex - Manchester Deaf Institute - 20th September 2015
Always one of Manchester's dark horses, Dub Sex reformed a couple of years ago and have played sporadic gigs around town and further afield. On Sunday they played an eight-song set early in proceedings at the People Over Borders fundraiser at the Deaf Institute.

Inspiral Carpets / Dub Sex - Holmfirth Picturedrome - 26th June 2015
Ahead of their headlining slot at York's Apollo Festival, Inspiral Carpets returned to one of their (and our) favourite venues - the beautiful Holmfirth Picturedrome set up in Last Of The Summer Wine country in the Pennines. They play a set of old and new favourites to a boisterous crowd supported by fellow Mancunians Dub Sex.

Inspiral Carpets / Dub Sex - Hebden Bridge Trades Club - 21st May 2015
Ahead of their performance at this weekend's Gigantic Festival in Manchester, Inspiral Carpets announced two intimate warm-up shows. We caught the train across the Pennines to the best small venue in the world, The Trades Club in Hebden Bridge, to catch the first of them. The recently reformed Dub Sex took up the support slot honours to make it an extra-special evening.

Dub Sex - Manchester Sound Control - 25th October 2014
