The Blinders headlined the opening Saturday in Jimmy's new Liverpool site in the sauna like conditions of the basement venue supported by an impressive list of bands who'd made the journey up the East Lancs in Saytr Play, Déjà Vega, Ryan Jarvis, Dantevilles and Scuttlers.

Déjà Vega / Dantevilles / Deh-Yey - Manchester Castle - 16th February 2019


 

Déjà Vega's biggest headline date so far saw them sell out The Castle Hotel in Manchester on Saturday night. With hardly space to move and sweat dripping from the ceilings, a packed crowd was delighted by an hour long set featuring both new material and old favourites. Support came from secret guests Dantevilles and their new line-up ahead of their forthcoming tour and Chester duo Deh-Yey.

As January draws to an eventual end, Lucoo filled up the final Saturday with their all-dayer at Jimmy's with a line-up of many of the bands that have graced this stage in the past couple of years. We caught up with Maddy Storm, The Goa Express, Louie Louie, Gardenback, Hello Operator and Dantevilles with a packed hot and sweaty room full of fellow music fans.

Head For The Hills Festival Day 2 - Toria Wooff / Sonya And The Greyhounds / Dantevilles / Secret Lemonade Factory / SKIES / Mano McLaughlin / Neville Staple Band / Dutch Uncles / Ist Ist


Day 2 of Head For The Hills festival in Ramsbottom saw another set of the type of diverse and eclectic acts that it has got its name and so many admirers for. From nationally recognised acts to some of the best local talent, Saturday's bill had something for everyone. We caught a real mix of performers including Toria Wooff, Sonya And The Greyhounds, Dantevilles, Secret Lemonade Factory, SKIES, Mano McLaughlin, Neville Staple Band, Dutch Uncles and a triumphant second stage headline set from Ist Ist.

Heaven On Earth - Manchester Halle St Peters - 22nd April 2017 (Hannah Nicholson, The Maitlands, The 99 Degree, The Creature Comfort. Hey Bulldog, OLA, Dantevilles, The Goa Express, Déjà Vega, Crimsons)


Heaven On Earth festival celebrated Earth Day on Saturday in the beautiful surroundings of Halle St Peters smack bang in the middle of the Ancoats construction zone. A wide range of bands hand-selected by the audience entertained the crowd throughout the day and evening.

Dantevilles - Interview


Dantevilles look set to be one of the next bands to break out of the local scene in Manchester. Already with a record deal under their belt, their first national tour just behind them and their biggest hometown show in the offing in June as well as the patronage of the likes of Blossoms and This Feeling and a big response to their last single Graffiti, they're set to hit the festival circuit this summer and play to much bigger audiences. We had a chat with them ahead of their performance at Heaven On Earth at Halle St Peters in Manchester on Saturday about their plans.

Dantevilles / Cleargreen / The Nix - Manchester Jimmy's - 7th April 2017



Dantevilles played two sold-out shows at Jimmy's in Manchester over the weekend after announcing their biggest headline set at Sound Control for June. With the recent buzz being generated around latest single Graffiti, it feels like their star is in the ascendancy and we went along to see whether the growing fuss is worthwhile. Support came from The Nix and Cleargreen.

Dantevilles / Fairchild / Matter Of Mind - Manchester Night And Day - 27th August 2016



With most of the musical youth of town in the mud of Leeds, This Feeling chose the bank holiday to put on probably their strongest line-up yet at their monthly club night at the Night And Day headlined by Dantevilles but with a supporting cast of Aussie pop lovers Fairchild, Mayflower and Stockport's next big hopes Matter Of Mind.

Blossoms / Dantevilles - Manchester Gorilla - 7th August 2016

 

As part of the celebrations of the release of their self-titled debut album, Blossoms booked two shows at Manchester Gorilla to play the new record to their fans. Tickets sold out in seconds as they did for the Academy show next month, and the venue witnessed two packed to the rafters sweaty shows that probably bade farewell to venues of the this size given the ever increasing fanbase they're collecting. Support came from Manchester's own Dantevilles, who are making their claim to be the next of the city's bands to break through.

Blossoms / Dantevilles - Stockport Plaza - 5th August 2016


A midnight album launch in their home town of Stockport where all of Blossoms come from, where they were born just up the A6 in Stepping Hill, just past the pub on the corner that gave them their name and whose Welcome To signs now state Home Of Blossoms is pretty much the perfect way to send your debut record out into the world. A feverishly expectant home town crowd were treated to the album being played in order with four songs being played to a live audience for the very first time. It was the dream homecoming that the band had planned for over a year for the release.

Dantevilles - Manchester Castle Hotel - 30th July 2016


Dantevilles started off the biggest week of their career to date with their own packed-to-the-rafters show in the music room of Manchester's Castle Hotel. Their seven-song set pulled no punches but packed plenty of them as they tipped the room from boiling point into the chaotic meltdown of a stage invasion at the end.

Dot To Dot Festival - Manchester various venues - 27th May 2016


Dot To Dot Festival is now a fixture in the late May bank holiday weekend in Manchester. It moved to the Northern Quarter a couple of years ago due to the close vicinity of dozens of great little gig spaces. We trekked round the venues catching some of our favourite bands as well as some new ones avoiding most of the big names.
