My Igloo - Manchester Night And Day - 14th November 2015
The cold nights are drawing in up north and the Manchester music scene seems to be a distinctly winteresque feel to it. Mainstream hitmakers have aged, the last crop of nearly-made-its have gone and the most austerity-hit Mancunia can look forward to is a tired string of comebacks from bands that have nothing new to say. And, yep, its raining. But despair not, My Igloo are determined to bring a freshness lacking on the scene and are making a stir wherever they play. On this Saturday in November as storm Abigail raged outside, the band, now an impressive seven-piece, played their first headline gig at Night and Day. Our guest reviewer Louie tells us more.

My Igloo - Manchester Bierkeller - 25th October 2015
Manchester's My Igloo produce dirty soul music. The six-piece's songs are like journeys, magical mystery tours that take you down so many paths, with guitar, keyboards and trumpets leading you pied piper style to their denouement.

Track Of The Day : My Igloo - Bashment
Bashment is the first track from Manchester's My Igloo with their new line-up. The live favourite has been transformed from a raucous saxophone-led knees-up in something more chilled in its approach and vibe, but something quite special.

Even The Stars Tips For 2015 - Day One
Welcome to the first day of Even The Stars' tips for 2015. They're not necessarily artists that we think will make a big breakthrough (except our Top Three which we'll reveal on New Year's Eve), but bands and solo artists that haven't released their debut album we're looking forward to hearing and see more of next year.
Day One's bands are Cavalry, Embers, Larkins, My Igloo, The Sundowners, We Are Willow, The Telepathic Evils and Laura Doggett.

My Igloo - Manchester Gullivers - 9th December 2014
Being able to count their number of gigs so far on their fingers, My Igloo are starting to create an underground buzz in Manchester with their fusion of soul, funk, reggae and good old indie guitar. Tonight they've ditched one of their vocalist and gained a trumpet player, but still retain a sound that's unique to them around Manchester at the moment.

The Reveurs / My Igloo / Sophia Ben Yousef - Manchester Night And Day - 26th June 2014
Legendary Mancunian label Ugly Man, who released records by luminaries such as The Man From Del Monte and early I Am Kloot singles, are making a comeback, starting with a series of live gigs under the monicker Uglyman Reborn. We caught The Reveurs, our favourite new band My Igloo and Sophia Ben Yousef at the Night And Day in Manchester.

My Igloo - Manchester Retro Bar - 2nd June 2014
My Igloo are a new band born partly out of the break-up of Manchester favourites Frazer King. They've been together six months. This is their second gig. They're rather good. Even The Stars went to Manchester basement bar Retro to see them.
