Val Doonican Express is the debut demo from Heavy On The Magic. Led by Chris Haddon, who'll be familiar to fans of Even The Stars favourites The Minx, they play their first gig at The Castle in Manchester tomorrow night.
Weighing in at only 135 seconds, Val Doonican Express doesn't hang around but it doesn't need to. Clever use of samples and effects on Chris's voice means it makes a mighty impression on first listen and gets better every time we hit repeat.
Heavy On The Magic play Manchester Castle Hotel tomorrow (28th) and Ramsbottom Festival (19th September).
