Track Of The Day : This Is The Kit - Bashed Out

This Is The Kit have been burrowed away with Aaron Dressner of The National working on their third album. Our Track Of The Day Bashed Out is the title track and the first fruits of those sessions with the album due out in April.

Bashed Out is subtle, brooding folk, a menace bubbling beneath the surface of the gently rumbling guitar and percussion.  Over the top of that Kate Stables' hushed, half-spoken half-sung vocals wring every single last drop of emotion out of the words. It's not easy listening, but it's rewarding and we can't wait to hear the album.
