Marissa Burwell's Scaredy Cat is the follow-up single to her self-titled debut EP that the Canadian singer-songwriter from Regina, Saskatchewan released earlier this year. The song is accompanied by one of the best music videos we've seen this year where Marissa sets up traps to ensnare people who are seeking to do her harm.
The song is about the fear of sleeping alone because of the worry of intruders, reflected in lyrics like "my dog will lick you to death, and if that doesn’t do it, I’ve got a bat behind my door" that are reflected in the scenes in the video. It's a warm, funny video that reflects the song perfectly.
Marissa Burwell is on Facebook and Twitter.
