Manchester singer-songwriter has released her first single of the year Til I
Met You after a summer of live performances. The single is a gorgeously rich country-tinged string-laden track that showcases Luca's voice from the very first second to the end.
Luca explains a little about the song - "This is a track extremely close to
my heart, and one that we put our all into. I really wanted to make sure we
were getting the feel we wanted and telling an open story. I’m so excited
for you guys to hear this track after what has been such a mega journey of
writing and
experimenting"
The song picks over a doomed relationship - "stop wasting my time, I was feeling fine til I met you. I was walking along feeling top of the world til I met you" - and how you feel powerless at the passing of time when it's not working the way you want it to, but it turns and becomes empowering at the end when the "my time" changes to "your time."
Luca's vocals give the song a real depth of feeling and emotion that allows the listener to connect to a situation most of us have experienced in some form at one time or another and marks her out as a talent to keep an eye and ear on as she records her debut album.
