Nowhere is the debut single by teenage Salford trio The Height. It's a wonderfully laid-back song that has plenty of touchpoints in musical history but which still manages the neat trick of sounding fresh and vibrant. It's an impressive first outing from a band that's likely to be heard much more in 2023 and beyond.
The Height are John Denton (12, vocals, guitar), Brandon Greenhalgh (12, bass) and Ted Ellis (16, drums). They played their first gig in August and have recorded a number of tracks for release in the new year. Still too young to play in most gig venues, they've still managed to rack up shows playing local festivals gathering rave reviews for their original material.
With more songs already recorded set for a CD release with Vinyl Revival in the new year that we've had a sneak preview of, they are very much a name to watch out for in 2023 and beyond.
