Laurens Court today release the video to their latest single Burn. The video, produced and directed by film-maker Adam Opie, is set in a shed in the countryside to heighten the sense of isolation and downward spiral that is expressed across the song's five minute duration.
The song takes an expansive ambitious approach, confident in its own skin and holding the listener's attention throughout. It's about how failings to address the first signs of mental health issues can lead to much worse situations, as Dylan explains “It’s about how the mind can be when it doesn’t allow itself to get help. The comparison of your own life to others, the frustration of not being able to stop thinking about the things you’ve done. It’s what happens when your feelings of pessimism and self-loathing convert themselves into feelings of anger and anarchism.”
